Katkoisen kilven hopeisessa yläkentässä esiin nouseva, musta, kruunupää ratsuhevonen, jonka kruunu, varukset ja valjaat ovat kultaa, punaisessa alakentässä kaksi päivätyökapulaa kaateisina ristissä ja niiden yläkulmassa neliapila; kaikki hopeaa.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 26, 1951.

The horse is taken from the arms of the Wrede af Elimä family, which played a major role in the local history. The base shows thwo decorated wooden planks, symbolising the long tradition of wood carving in the area. The clover leaf symbolises the importance of agriculture.
