Crest:That for regiments and separate battalions of the Army reserve:From a wreath Argent and Buff, the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The Statue of the Minute Man Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the Common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Motto:Sustain the Warrior.
Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description:A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:Or, a helmet Proper between three gouettes two and one Sable, an orle Celeste. Attached below the shield is a Black scroll inscribed "SUSTAIN THE WARRIOR" in Gold.
Origin/meaning
Buff and light Blue are those of the Quartermaster Corps. The Helmet symbolises military preparedness. The Three Drops commemorate the Battalion's Campaigns in Europe during World War II and are black to heighlight the mission of Petroleum supply. Together, the helmet and "drops of oil" suggest the Motto.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was both approved on 15 August 1997.
