Origin/meaning

The arms of Weinhaus show two winegrowers with golden grapes symbolising the wine grown here. The name "Wine House" was first documented in 1266 derives from a (then) famous winery.

This image is a so called "Kalebstraube" (Caleb's Grape). It refers to the story in the Bible when Jesus sent Joshua and Caleb to explore Canaan and they returned with a bunch of grapes that was so huge it had to be carried by two men.
