Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ PRIOR VELHO - LOURES “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 29, 1999.
The ecclesiastical hat is a canting symbol (Prior = priory). The olive branches refer to the former olive groves in the parish, of whih only a few trees remain. The coghweel symbolises the many local industries. The grapes refer to the local vinery Quinta da Françelha.
