Arms (crest) of Skaistgirys

Official blazon

Tamsiai žaliame skyde penki auksiniai uosio lapai, išdėstyti 3 viršutinėje eilėje, 2 apatinėje.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 10, 2005.

The green field refers to forests, the golden leaves refer to brightness, and together they symbolize the name of town: it originates from "skaisti giria" ("bright forest"). In Lithuania ash symbolizes fortitude, and on these arms it refers to the unbreakable nature of the local people and their resistance against the Soviet occupation.
