Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on March 22, 2024.
The battle ax is the attribute of Saint Eutrope (the patron saint of the local church). The keys refer to Pope Benedict XII, who was born as Jacques Fournier in Canté in 1280.
The chief shows part of the arms of the De Foix family, who were the main lords of the area for a long period of time.
The green colour indicates the agricultural character of the area.
