Canton : Basel-Landschaft
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on July 5, 1946.
The arms were based on the arms of the medieval Zielemp family. They had in the 14th century many possessions in and around the village since the middle of the 14th century. The arms of the family were silver and blue, to distinguish the municipal arms it was decided to use gold instead of the silver.
