Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 1, 1992.

The star and the bends are derived from the arms of the Lord Konrad Schütz von Holzhausen, from the 16^th century. The two grape leaves are a symbol for the viticulture in the area, which was of great importance until the late 19^th century.
