Kluven sköld: fält I, Ångermanlands vapen, fält II, Medelpads vapen.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1941.
The arms combine the arms of the two former provinces of Ångermanland and Medelpad, even though the county also comprises (smaller) parts of Hälsingland and Jämtland.
