Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 21, 2005.

The trhee coosses are taken from the previous arms and at the same time symbolise the three former municipalities. The municipality is on the border, which is symbolised by the division line. A large part of the historical municipality is currently in Russia.

The previous arms were officially granted on November 14, 1956.
