Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on May 13, 1989.

Loipersdorf is well-known in Styria as a thermal spa. The waves indicate the large bathing-facilities (Erlebnisbad).

The crown is the symbol of martyrdom and honours St Florian, martyr and patron-saint of Loipersdorf parish.
