Official blazon
- Arms: Or, a turreted castle of three storeys Sable, on a chief Sable three escallops Argent, all within a bordure Gules charged with four bezants and four heraldic fountains alternately.
- Crest: In front of a sun rising Or an arm embowed, the hand grasping a sledge-hammer proper. Wreath and mantling Or and Gules.
- Supporters: Two Springboks proper each gorged with a collar Azure charged with three bezants.
- Motto: AUSPICIUM MELIORIS AEVI (A pledge for better times)
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1937 and registered in South Africa in 1966.
The castle and escallops apparently come from the arms of the Duke of Bedford. The gold roundels in the border represent gold-mining. The four fountains represnet the four springs or fountains in the municipality (Kleinfontein, Modderfontein, Rietfontein and Vlakfontein). The arm in the crest refers to the industry and the rising sun symbolises destiny.
The springboks are a symbol of South Africa and they wear collars representing the gold mining again.

Benoni is a mining and industrial town on the East Rand. The above "arms" appear to allude to mining, industry, agriculture, and sport.
