Écartelé: au 1er de gueules à la croix d'argent, au 2e d'azur au clocher d'argent, au 3e d'azur à trois ponts isolés d'argent, au 4e de gueules au loup passant d'argent ; au chef de sable chargé de cinq tours d'or ouvertes de sable.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 21, 1985.

The cross is the arms of Savoy, the small tower refers to the former Benedictan priory in the village. The third quarter shows the three local bridges over de Fier river. The wolf in the fourth quarter is a canting symbol, the name may be related to lupus (wolf).

The chief refers to the 5 castles that existed in the municipality, the now disappeared Saillon castle, the ruined castles of Petit Grézy and Pontverre and the two existing castles of Chavaroche and Montrottier.
