Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 18, 1999.

The keys of St. Peter are related to the local patron. The tinctures, gold and green, are there because the land of Alfés is mainly dry, but their fields are irrigated in winter by the river Set. They symbolize too the sun and the crops.
