Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on September 9, 1990.

The first quarter shoes the arms of the du Genevois family and the fourth the arms of the Lords of Faucigny, to remind that the parish was a point of confluence of the rivalries between these two families.

The second quarter shows three crows of arms of the Arenthon family (who built the chapel of the Vège) and the tower of Crédoz.

The third quarter recalls the banner of the Langue of Auvergne of the Order of the Hospitallers of Saint John.
