Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 11, 1983.
The name of the municipality derives from the water-lily. Thus, a fleur-de-lis was included in the arms. As the Order of Malta had possessions in the region in medieval times, a cross was chosen as the principal charge and the tinctures of the new arms were to follow those of the arms of the Order of Malta. The acorns symbolise an oak of about 1000 years, growing in the municipality.
