Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on May 24, 1991.

The division of the shield indicates that the village is in a valley. the castle is taken from the arms of the De Castelpers family, who partially owned the village. The wavy bars are taken from the other lords of the village, the De Génibrouse family.

The lower half shows St. Martin of Tours, the local patron saint.
