SPASSK RAYON (Спасский район)

Federal subject : Primorsky Krai

Arms of Spassk (rayon)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 25, 2001.

The blue colour, the lotus (water-lily) flower and the Duarian crane all symbolise Lake Hanka, as the region borders this large lake, as well as the Khankaisky nature reserve.

The green refers to the fertile lowlands in the region and, together with the wheat-ears, refers to the agricultural character of most of the region.

The free quarter shows the arms of the Primorsky Krai.
