NO 139 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE
History: Raised at Villaveria, Italy in July 1918.
Title: Jamaica.
Official blazon
In front of a crescent argent a fasces sable (the axe argent).
Origin/meaning
The Squadron was formed from components of No 28 Squadron, which badge includes a Fasces and of No 34 Squadron which badge includes the crescent. The Motto translates as "We destroy at will". The badge was granted in November 1938.
