Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1937 and are based on seal of the town from 1718. Rothenkirchen became a town in 1377. The arms show a farmer, which is seen in more Bavarian arms as a symbol for free agricultural communities. The colours were determined by Hupp in the 1890s.
