CALDES D'ESTRAC
Region : Catalonia
Province : Barcelona
Catalan | Escut caironat: d'atzur, una caldera d'or. A la punta de 3 cintes ondades d'argent. Per timbre una corona mural de vila. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 15, 1982.
As all the Catalan villages and towns named Caldes, Caldes d'Estrac (mostly known as Caldetes) is related with the thermalism. This is a tourist seaside town, and their arms are canting: the "caldera" (Catalan for "boiling-pot" or "cauldron") stands on the waves of the sea.
