Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 2004.

The arms have their meaning in the legendary foundation of the village. When Attila invaded the region where Bozzolo is located, he destroyed everything. The survivors of this destruction took shelter in a very dense wood of box trees. They lived there a long time until Attila left the region.

The box trees became their survival symbol in both meaning: as a shelter and as fire wood. In the official arms of the city there is a motto: "VIRET ET VIREBIS" that means "to grow green and to grow green again".
