NO 1772 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1944 at Royal Naval Air Station Burscough (HMS Ringtail), Ormskirk with Fairey Fireflies. Disbanded in 1946.

English Per fess red and blue; a bow string at full draught in pale white with an arrow winged and flighted point downward wings interlaced all gold.

Motto: Tenax propositi

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "Firm of purpose". The Badge was approved in 1944.
