NO 819 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1940 at Royal Naval Air station Ford (HMS Peregrine), West Sussex as a Torpedo-Spotter-Reconnaissance Squadron for HMS Illustrious. Took part in the raid on Taranto with Fairey Swordfish.

English Blue; a foot couped at the ankle in a sandal gold pierced though the heel by an arrow white.

Moot: Partem infirmissiam petito.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "Strike at the weakest point" was approved in 1991 and allude to the Anti Submarine Role. The badge was approved on 15 January 1945.
