District/county (județ) : Ialomița

Stema Gheorghe Lazăr

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 6, 2012.

The bunch of wheat ears and sunflower signify the basic occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture.

The book symbolizes the means of penetrating the mysteries of knowledge, and the effigy of the male character represents the portrait of the Transylvanian scholar Gheorghe Lazăr, who gives the name of the locality.

The wavy bar symbolizes Lake Iezer.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
