Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 14, 2006.

The center of the district, the village of Belaya Glina, got its name from the rich deposits of white pottery clay in the ground. The image of a silver jug in the coat of arms indicates the name of the area. The jug also reflects one of the important historical occupations of the local population - the production of clay and ceramic products. The wheel also speaks of another type of production that developed when the village appeared. In the 19th century, the manufacture of light horse-drawn carriages was developed here.

The image of a sunflower characterizes the modern economic development of the region, based on agriculture. The blue field of the shield indicates the natural diversity and purity of the area.

Before 2006 the district used a non-heraldic emblem adopted in 1998.
