Cornellà de Llobregat
Revision as of 05:36, 10 January 2024 by Knorrepoes (talk | contribs)
Country : Spain Region : Catalonia Province : Barcelona |
Catalan | Escut caironat: d'or, 4 pals de gules; ressaltant sobre el tot un corn de caça d'atzur cordonat de sable. Per timbre una corona mural de ciutat. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 12, 1988.
Canting arms: they show a "corn" (Catalan for "horn"). The arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four red pales on gold) are there because Cornellà was since the 13th century under the royal jurisdiction, being incorporated to the territory of the city of Barcelona, centre of the Catalan Court.
