Arms of Žeimiai

Official blazon

Mėlyname skydo lauke ant žalios papėdės sidabrinė koplyčia auksiniais stogais ir kryžiumi, o šonuose dvi sidabrinės heraldinės lelijos.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 28, 2007.

The arms show the front facade of a late barocco chapel built for the memory of lieutenant Teodoras Medeksa, the son of the landlord of Žeimiai, fallen in the battle with the Russian army at Visakio Ruda: so the arms symbolizes fight of local people for freedom of Lithuania.
