Inquartato: nel 1º d'argento a quattro fasce di verde, con la bordatura d'oro; nel 2º d'azzurro alla corona di otto fioroni d'oro (5 visibili) dalla quale escono le ali, il collo, la testa di un cigno d'argento, tenente con becco di rosso un ferro di cavallo pure d'argento; nel 3º d'azzurro all'elmo all'antica con svolazzi e pennacchio d'argento; nel 4º d'argento a sette gigli d'oro con la bordatura d'oro.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 5, 1937.

The coat of arms is very complex and it is the supposed coat of arms of Ezzelino III da Romano "il tiranno" ruler of the "Marca Trevigiana" (i.e. actual provinces of Treviso, Vicenza, Padova and Verona) in the 13th century.

The fleur-de-lis are (supposedly) the arms of an ancestor of Ezellino III, Ezzelino "il monaco", ruler of the "Marca Trevigiana".
The bars isymbolise the "tournament ribbons" given by ladies to the knights during tournaments. The colours gold and green are "ghibellini" colours.
The crest of the family arms shows a swan with a horseshoe in the beak.

The municipality uses a different version, which is more like the family arms, see below.
