CUDREFIN
Canton : Vaud
Additions : 2002 Champmartin
Official blazon
- (old) Parti de gueules et d'argent,au poisson d'azur brochant en fasce.
- (new)
Origin/meaning
The new arms combine the old arms (see below) with the arms of Champmartin.
The arms with the fish appear for the first time on a seal of the village from 1744. The meaning of the divided shield is not known. The fish may be derived from the arms of the Treytorrens family, lords of the village from 1482-1718, who used three fish in their arms.
