Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1994.
As the previous arms, see below, were identical to Austria, the local council decided to combine the old arms with an chamois taken from the late 19th century seal of the village. The 7 stars were added at the same time and represent the 7 villages in the municipality.
The old arms, se ebelow, are identical to the arms of Austria, as the village was an Austrian possession in the Middle Ages. As village arms known since 1780.
