Incorporated into : 1970 Romainmôtier-Envy
Official blazon
Parti d'argmt à la clef de gueules en pal, et de gueules à l'épée haute d'argent.
Origin/meaning
These arms are taken from the arms of the important Romainmôtier Abbey, and have been used by the abbey since the 14th century. The sword and the key are the symbols of the patron saints of the abbey, St. Paul and St. Peter respectively.
The village and castle started to use the abbey arms already in the 15th century.
