Stema municipiului Turda se compune dintr-un scut ornat cu un "chevron" roșu, răsturnat în partea superioară a câmpului.
Câmpul superior, cu interior albastru, delimitat de "chevron", conține un braț stâng înveșmântat în zale cu o secure de luptă, executat cu smalț argintiu.
Câmpul inferior al scutului este mobilat cu un munte despicat în două, cu fond argintiu, munte pe al cărui câmp, în dextra, este plasată o ștampilă de cărămidă colorată portocaliu, reprezentând epoca romană, iar în senestra este reprezentat un copac în culori naturale.
"Chevronul" este mobilat cu trei coroane voievodale smălțuite în aur.
Scutul este timbrat cu o coroană murală argintie cu cinci turnuri.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 9, 2000

The three crowns, together with the left-handed arm and axe refer to King Michael the Brave, who was killed on the plain near Turda in 1601. He first combined the three Romanian Principalities under one King.

The base shows a mountain split into two, and a tree, both symbolising the Cheile Turzii natural reserve.

The plaque with the letters LVM refer to the legendary of the Roman Macedonian Legion V.
