County : Panevėžys
Municipality : Biržai

Arms (crest) of Nemunėlis Radviliškis

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 10, 2006.

The star refers to the Polar star and symbolizes that Nemunelio Radviliskis is the most northern settlement of Lithuania.

The cannons refer to the fortress that existed there in the 16th-17th centuries (built as a far outpost of Birzai castle, destroyed around 1704), and fierce battles with the Swedish army that were fought there during the Northern War. The eagles are the main charge of the arms of the princely Radvila house: they have established and ruled the town, which is also named after them.
