Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 21, 1958.

The hill in the base is a canting element, Kålle may be derived from kulle (hill). The axes and tree trunk refer to the importance of forestry and are a canting element for the -red part of the name, which refers to clearing of forest.
