ORȘOVA

District/county (județ) : Mehedinți

Stema Orșova

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 30, 2007.

The mountains symbolize the relief of the area. The fortress refers to the ancient fortress of Dierna.

The anchor means that the town is a port on the Danube river.

The mural crown with 5 crenellated towers means that the locality has the rank of municipality.
