Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on November 24, 1970.
The arms show the local monk Laurentius von Schnifis (born as Johann Marte, 1633), a famous poet at his time. The small shield shows the arms of the Jagdberg Estate to which the area historically belonged.
