Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on June 29, 1982.

The division line symbolises the name of the village, Scheffau or Schiefe Au (crooked meadow). The eagle's head symbolise that the Kaisermountains in the municipality are a refuge for an eagle population.

Literature : Köfler and Beimrohr, 1995
