LIANCOURT-SAINT-PIERRE

Département : Oise

Blason de Liancourt-Saint-Pierre

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The head with the golden hair is taken from the arms of the Pellevé family, former lords of the village. The flint axe, the Gaul helmet and the Roman laurel wreath are symbols for the long history of the municipality. The crossed keys are the symbol of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The division line refers to the two parishes in the municipality that were united in the late 18th century.
