Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in the 1980s.
The arms show in a golden field a gate with a tower. These arms are based on the historical arms, which also shwoed a gate, but in a green field. The tower is known from the oldest known seal of the village, dating from 1696. That seal showed the tower as published by Kobler, see below, but later images show the gate more in the style as used at present.
