Origin/meaning

The silver fleur-de-lys is taken from the arms of the Saint Vincent Abbey in Metz, as the abbey had large influence in the area and owned the local Saint-Baudier parish. The bend with the three towers is taken from the arms of the de Vy family, who owned the villages of La Maxe and Thury in the 15^th century.
