Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 29, 1970.
The oldest seal of the village dates from 1818 and shows the arms of Baden. In 1836 a new seal was made, with a hunting lodge (Haus) as a canting symbol (see below). In 1902 a new seal was made with a pigeon. The pigeon is derived from the seal of the Reichenbach abbey in Murgtal, to which the village belonged in the early Middle Ages. The seal showed the patron saint St. Gregorius, with a pigeon as a symbol for the Holy Ghost. The pigeon was chosen as a symbol for Bruchhausen by the State Archives in 1901.
The arms were also used since, but as the colours were not clearly defined, the arms were again granted in 1970.
