Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 5, 2012.

The arms show a crossed sword and crosier as symbols for St. Martin of Tours, the local patron saint. The second quarter shoes the bars taken from the arms of the Counts of Empúries, who owned the village for a long time. The base shows the Ter river.
