Origin/meaning
Historically the current municipality of Arnaville was divided into three lordships/estates:
The Lordship of Saint Pierre belonged to the Duke of Lorraine, whih is symbolised by the golden shield, red bend and alerions.
The Lordship of Saint Gorgon belonged to the abbot of Gorze and is symbolised by the image of Saint Gorgon.
The Lordship of Saint Vanne belonged to the Bishop of Verdun and is symbolised by the crosier and the sword.
