NO 809 SQUADRON, FAA
History: First formed in 1941 at Royal Naval Air Station Lee-on-Solent as a Fleet Fighter Squadron with Fairey Fulmar for HMs Victorious and gained eight Battle Honours before disbanding in 1946. Reformed in 1982 from 899 squadron for operations in the Falklands.
