Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 7th April 1989.

The three billets Argent on Gules charged with a wing Azure are the arms of the Sentmenat family, lords of the local castle (12^th century), barons and, since 1691, marquises of Sentmenat (this is shown by the marquis crown at the top of the arms).
