CROISSY-SUR-SEINE

Département : Yvelines

Blason de Croissy-sur-Seine

Official blazon

D'azur à l'écusson d'argent chargé d'un croissant du champ, accompagné de trois losanges d'or.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on October 4, 1958.

The three lozanges are taken from the arms of Jean Chanorier, last Lord of Croissy and its first mayor in the late 18th century. The inescutcheon shows a crescent, which refers to the curve in the Seine river in which the village is situated.
