Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ SORTELHA “.

The arms were officially granted on February 2, 1998.
The castle refers to the medieval castle in the village. The ring is a symbol for the tournamens held at the castle in medieval times, where knights had to shoot arrows through a ring as target.
The mountains refer to the local mountains an dthe base shows the Liz river that runs through the village.
