Origin/meaning

The Heart symbolises the Patron of the Cardinal St August. The Pilers is the Tool of Martyrdom of St Agatha. The Pile shows the Arms of Pope St Johannes Paulus II, a personal friend of the Cardinal. It was also he that elevated Joos to the Cardinalate.
