Blason de Tréveray

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 21, 2014.

The arms refer to Cardinal Pierre de Luxembourg, bishop of Metz from 1384-1387 and benefactor of the parish. The lion also refers to the family of Castéja, former lords of the village, and the colors refer to NH de Pansey, minister and baron of the Empire.

The chief refers to the iron mines and foundries in the municipality.
